Directing

Since I have now had the opportunity to direct both traditional, in-person plays and virtual ones, I feel like I understand the challenges of directing far more than I would have otherwise. Being able to communicate my ideas clearly without the ability to demonstrate exactly what I want myself was much more difficult than I had anticipated. I felt as though more factors were out of my control in regards to the technical aspects of the show because many parts would not be added until after filming. I enjoyed being able to fix performance mistakes with editing or another take but we missed out on the audience interaction performers are accustom to.
