Flute

This solo piece by French composer Georges Enesco has been extremely challenging to learn. I haven't had the opportunity to prepare a solo work like this in years so I had to re-learn some skills. I think the most troublesome part was working with the accompaniment. Because of Covid-19, I was unable to play with a live pianist. This made the timing in some of the more expressive sections much more difficult to execute effectively. I also felt like my dynamic contrast was lackluster despite the efforts I made during the performance. I was happy with my finger coordination at the end since that was an area that I really struggled with during practice. Overall, I am pleased with this performance and proud of the efforts I put into it.
